What is Public health?
Public health is the science and art of (1) preventing disease, 2) prolonging of life, and 3) promoting of health and efficiency through organized community effort for a) the sanitation of environment, b) the control of comunicable infections, c) the education of the individual in personal hygiene, d) the organization medical and nursing service for the early diagnosis and preventing threatment of disease, e) the development of social of living adequate for the maintenance of health, so organizing these benefits and enable every citizen to realize hisbirthright of health and longevity (Winslow)
In the concept of public health will be known about the health factor stimulus paradigm, namely: 1) health care services focused on the sick is not effective, 2) the concept of change, including healthy unsure productive social and economic, 3) transition from epidemiology disease infection to disease chronicles (behavior). 3) transition demografic, the number of elderly increases. 4) the concept of factor affecting population health
